Article Title: Cerebral Mycotic Aneurysms Treated with a Neuroform Stent: Technical Case Report
Article Snippet: Accepted, September 7, 2005.. OBJECTIVE AND IMPORTANCE: We describe the first documented endovascular treatment of proximal intracranial mycotic aneurysms by a self-expanding, flexible, dedicated, intracranial Neuroform stent.. Treatment with this stent rapidly obliterated the aneurysms, eliminated the need for additional coiling, and maintained the patency of the parent arteries.

Article Title: Transcranial approach for venous embolization of dural arteriovenous fistulas.
Article Snippet: tracranial arteriovenous lesions.. Their symptoms are highly variable.. It is established that the potential neurological complications of these lesions depend on the pattern of their venous drainage.3,12 Those DAVFs with leptomeningeal drainage carry a high risk of intracranial hemorrhage, cerebral ischemia, and intracranial hypertension, and this situation justifies the use of treatment aimed at complete and permanent occlusion.

Article Title: Successful endovascular reconstruction of acutely ruptured pseudoaneurysm of the vertebral artery, complicated by isolated vertebrobasilar circulation and symptomatic vasospasm.
Article Snippet: The management of a ruptured pseudoaneurysm of intracranial vertebral artery (VA), which is the sole supplier to an isolated vertebrobasilar system, is challenging.. The authors report on such a case in a 49year-old man who suffered a grade III subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) caused by a dissecting fusiform pseudoaneurysm of the left VA.. The right VA terminated in the posterior inferior cerebellar artery and pos-

Stryker transend ex soft tip microguidewire
We decided to treat via the pterygoid plexus. A jugular venous approach to the lesion was chosen, and an <t>Echelon-10/Transend</t> EX Soft Tip was delivered through the pterygoid plexus and CS to the fistula and into the aneurysm. Slab MIP images ( A–C ), sagittal sections, of 3D rotational angiography during the procedure show that the Echelon ( black arrows ) passes through the drainage route through the foramen ovale ( white arrowhead ) and reaches the aneurysm. In the anteroposterior ( D ) and lateral ( E ) views of the fluoroscopy, a Headway-17 45°/Transend EX Soft Tip was inserted using the sheeping technique to the vicinity of the foramen ovale immediately before the fistula. Black and white arrows indicate the tips of the Echelon-10 and Headway-17 microcatheter, respectively.
